We are an artist collective working in Manchester, UK. Our art practice explores ideas of Environmentalism, Deep Ecology, Communalism and Soil Ecology. We journey the research of these topics and how our personal relationship with soil has developed over this period. Through this work we seek to create a higher cultural value for soil and having a more involved relationship with the soil in our personal lives and that of the audience. The work projects a utopian relationship that we can have with the earth and encourages the audience to directly interact with the soil. We also explore the systemic issues that have caused us to neglect our relationship with soil despite the ever-increasing need to counter soil degradation. We aim to root us back to the land and reinstate our role within the ecosystem of soil and soil’s role in our lives.
